Yes, we know it is the heat of the summer, but winter will be here before you know it, and we will once again be up to our eyes in snow. This past winter in California was unbelievably snowy, so let’s put on our winter coats and think SNOW!

When Rose Hughes introduced me to her Fast-Piece Applique™ technique, I first thought it was another way to applique, but I was wrong. This is the easiest way I have ever seen to piece curves and circles, even spirals! If you're like me and not fond of piecing curves then you are definitely missing out if you haven't tried this. I tried Rose's method and couldn't believe how easy it was.

Barbara Dieges SewfasstQuilting has come a long way since I became an dedicated quilted back in 1982. I wanted to make the hundreds of quilts that were swimming through my head when I learned how to quilt. I went from hand piecing to machine piecing. Starting with Half Square Triangles, sewing squares instead along that bias cut edge of the triangle, I stepped outside the box and did a lot of "what ifs?"
