There are several of Daphne Greig's quilts below. Do you know what she used to enhance them, AFTER the quilting was completed?

In all of the quilts above, Daphne used Shiva PaintStiks to enhance various areas of the quilt. This is just one of the techniques she teaches in her online workshop Fun With PaintStiks

In the first quilt she enhanced the anemone leaves, coloring inside the lines using several colors to create shading.

She did a similar thing for the Monstera leaf in the second quilt.

In the third quilt she enhanced the quilted bubbles in the background to lighten them and draw more attention to them.

I don't know about you, but this sparks a lot of ideas in my head on how I could make enhancements to my quilts and I know Daphne has a whole lot more tricks on using PaintStiks. I'll be joining Daphne in this online workshop to learn more, how about you?

About Fun With PaintStiks: Daphne Greig will show you how to use Shiva Paintstiks to add color, pattern and texture to your fabrics. You will learn several ways to apply the paint, how to put it just where you want it and how to blend paint to create a rainbow of rich colors. You will fill a sketchbook for future reference as part of each exercise. The final lesson includes using the paint to highlight and color quilted projects and appliqué designs. Read more...
