April is Autism Awareness Month

photo of HamishHamish is a young man who is autistic, but he is wonderful to know and as you may know, autistic children have amazing talents. One of Hamish's talents is the ability to draw and he does a pretty good job of it too. My company Arbee Designs, decided to display this talent by developing his drawings into quilt blocks and we are giving back to him $2.00 for every block purchased.

We hope you will support this talented young man in his endeavor to being creative.

These are the first four blocks he drew and I'm hoping to encourage him to draw more.

  • Thank you Joan! Yes they will look great in a children's room for sure. I know a special someone who would love to have a whole quilt of these, so that is my plan when I have enough blocks. I put in your request so the Frog is next on his draw list. I have one more to make as a block first, which should come this week hopefully, so a Frog next week perhaps...

  • oh Ruth they are going to look great in my children's room which we call the FROG! (finished room over garage!, as it was listed when we bought the house!) I'm going to get the bird on payday, ask him if he will draw a frog for me!
