As you will have read from my last blog post, I've been updating the board bag and making myself a new tote in new colors. I'm really liking the combination. I do think the Amsterdam Star looks good in just 3 fabrics. What do you think?
Recently I've been working on my 'new-look' carryall board bag. I made a new front pocket using a different block and some fun modern looking colors.
Still one of my favorite quilts, Simply Sunflowers was first designed in 2004 and has been a rather popular quilt. What fascinates me the most is that thousands of quilters from around the world have been able to make this quilt too.
At the beginning of this month, I released my latest quilt pattern called "Moon Lake". It is an applique pattern and from the title I'm sure you can guess that it has a moon and lake in it. The design is all applique, however it didn't start out that way. My first intention was to have a pieced background with flowers around the border, but then I decided I wanted to create a scene so a lake was born along with mountains and a night sky.
Six years ago last September I wrote a blog post on blogspot. I was amazed to find it still there even through I cannot get into the account and have not posted on there for many years. I did manage to copy the post and repost it here on my current blog site. This is the story of how Light Upon the Earth was created.
Earlier this year I mentioned the balipops and charm squares from Hoffman fabrics that I was planning on working with. Actually, it wasn't my own pattern I was making, which is unusual for me. Anita Eaton was working on a new design and I just thought it would look great in the volcano colors - black, orange and green for the most part.
Last week I decided to make the Thanksgiving tablerunner from the Festive Runners pattern. I was trying to decide which set of fabrics to use.
Of course, now we are in October I am thinking of Christmas. The way this year has sped by, Christmas will have come and gone before I can blink an eye so today I figured I'd better get started on some Christmas sewing. Well, I cannot exactly show you what I'm sewing today otherwise someone I'm sewing for will see, but I can show you the Christmas patterns that I converted to downloads today.
