If you are a Quilt University follower, by now you will have heard that Quilt U is going to close down by the end of the year. As my classes end at Quilt University, I will be moving them over to the Academy of Quilting. I have moved a handful already including Tote That Mat.

Tote That Mat - quilter's tote

Tote That Mat is a quilter's tote designed to carry your equipment to class or a day's quilting with your friend or guild. It is ideal because it holds the standard cutting board and some of those large rulers including a 15" square. Here's how it looks inside:

The class includes four blocks - two beginners and two advanced.

Beginner's block - Churn Dask

Second beginner's block

I used the advanced on my sample.

Second advanced Block

I should mention about here that I also include instructions on how to adjust your own blocks to fit the pocket area.

Since I didn't use the beginner's blocks in my tote, I turned the Churn Dash block into a cushion. (instructions are included for the cushion too).

I made this beginner's block into a cushion

I have made this tote twice. The second time I adapted the inside to add even more pockets on either side of my star block.

I added extra pockets - also included in the class instructions

This is a fun class and every quilter who makes it just loves the finished project.

As an introductory offer at the Academy of Quilting, I have reduced the price down to $24.00 so if you have always wanted to make this, now is the time. You can find more information here >>
