2012 quilt patterns part two
Yesterday I mentioned all the new patterns Arbee Designs presented over 2012. Continuing on from that I felt I should mention, we had more than just hardcopy patterns released throughout 2012. Several of our new patterns are also available as downloads. We included some of our popular older patterns as downloads too and we even introduced a few that were only downloadable patterns and not hardcopy. The download only patterns were:
2012 quilt pattern revisited
I cannot believe we are almost at the end of the year. I have taken a look back over all the new patterns Arbee Designs has published for 2012. There were many more patchwork patterns this year, thanks to our designers. I can only claim my name to one and then of course, I had to sneak in a little applique at that.
Alternative Borders
Have you ever run short of fabric for a border? Or do not have enough fabric to cut lengthwise and do not want joins in the border strips? Here's an idea that can help you. I used it on a Twisted Ribbons quilt I made recently but it can work for many quilts.
How to Change a Quilt Pattern
As a quilt designer I know it is impossible to make a quilt pattern to the size everyone wants because everyone's needs are different. However, just because a quilt is one size, it does not mean you cannot make it another.
Star Runner alternative
There is nothing better than quilting a project together. That's what my mother and I did recently when she came to visit. She wanted to make a gift for her good friend Rosemary who she was going to visit so I suggested my design "Star Runner" made in Fall colors. As it happened Mum was visiting in Fall and those were some of Rosemary's favorite colors - so I hear.
