More Hoffman Fabrics
Do you remember back in June sometime I posted about the arrival of Hoffman fabrics - they were a selection of orange and black fabrics?
Friday Flower Rhododendron
Today my new flower block is a rhododendron. The bushes are so pretty when they are in full flower. Clusters of trumpet shaped flowers are displayed on a shelf of leaves it would seem.
Stitch Along September
September is fast approaching, in fact the 1st is Sunday so we need to be ready for our September challenge. September the 1st is noted as being the first day of Spring in New Zealand, although snow is forecast for today! Oh well, that's a good reason to begin thinking about our Stitch Along Sunday. No reason why you cannot plan it now and post the result on Sunday.
Machine Quilting Day 35
Another Wednesday of quilting, 36 weeks in a row in fact. My photo this week is sea foam. This photo was taken while traveling on the interislander between the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
Late August News
Today I had to share all our latest news which includes Jennifer Houlden's latest pattern, more $4.00 patterns, a bunch of online classes starting in the next 10 days and our latest flower blocks.... Not to mention some breaking news!
How to make tabs
I had a number of inquiries today asking how to make tabs for a quilt like I made on yesterday's challenge piece so I thought today was a good day to share that with you all.
Stitch Along Sunday - August Completed
This is the last Sunday in August so it should see your August challenge piece completed. I worked at finishing mine today and both Jennifer's sent me their finished pieces too. Here is how mine has ended up and you can see all three in the August Gallery.
Autumn Jigsaw

Going from one season to another. It is almost spring in the southern hemisphere, just a week out which means fall is getting close in the northern hemisphere so I decided to pick a fall quilt and make it as a jigsaw puzzle.
Friday Flower Bird of Paradise
Bird of Paradise is a unique, colorful and beautiful flower. It is one of those flowers that you either love or just don't like. I love the brightness of it and how it is so different to every other flower.
Stitch Along Sunday August Week 4
Did you see the projects progressing in the Gallery? Check it out August Challenge Gallery. I have also added photos of week three pieces below the rules.
