November's on-demand class review - part 10
The last five On-demand classes make up today's presentation - part 10. These include an easy method of stained glass and an easy way to applique using fusible webbing. I also have three more classes of my own in the list, foundation piecing in Mariner's Compass, a free form patchwork style with Patchwork with a Twist and the every popular quilters tote Tote That Mat. Check them out below:
November's on-demand class review - part 9
Five more On-demand classes to present today. This is part 9 of my presentation and another mix of classes. One of the great thing about our classes is that they are all very different so there is always something new to learn depending on which direction you want to take. Why not learn something new today?
Personal Unique Gifts You Can Make Easily
Isn't if funny how when you are out shopping you find something you never went out to intentionally buy, but the thought of it just sparks a brilliant idea? In fact, the thought gave me a great idea to create some very personal unique gifts to give away. I was actually in the art section of a store looking for sticker albums for the kids (gosh I didn't know these were so hard to find!) when I spotted some inexpensive ready framed canvases. Okay, so I'm not a painter, but I thought why not use them to mount some of my flower blocks!
November's on-demand class review - part 8
On-demand classes part 8 includes five different workshops. What fun it has been presenting all these online workshops that are all so different. Do you have a favorite? Have you taken any? I'd love to share some photos of your work if you have. How about displaying some in our student galleries for others to see too?
November's on-demand class review - part 7
Part 7 and I have four more on-demand classes to show you. A real mix of workshops today from computer work and painting to displaying your quilts and knowing which tools to use when creating your masterpiece. As you can see, our workshops go way beyond the standard patchwork quilt (although we do have these too!), we also include a number of design classes which include creative ways to get you motivated into your own style of work. As I always say... "Creativity is within us all, our workshops just help you express it".
North Wind by Anita Eaton
This quilt came about as a challenge in our small art quilt group. The subject was wind. I chose to do the North Wind because it had been a frequent part of the many fairy tales I heard and read as a child. I researched some legends about the north wind and looked for images on the Internet. I was surprised to see how similar the Nordic and Roman images were. I selected and combined a number of ideas to come up with the image.
November's on-demand class review - part 6
In Part 6 of our on-demand classes selection I have decided to list a few more of my own classes. As a teacher, I'm never too far away to help with questions you might have and in class we have an area for this where you can also see what other students have asked.
November's on-demand class review - part 5
Onward to Part 5 of previewing our on-demand classes. These workshops include some wonderful ideas to create gifts such as embroidered or star block pockets on totes or jackets, decorative wall hangings or boxes. You can get started today, or later when you have more time as that's one of the beauties of our on-demand workshops.
November's on-demand class review - part 4
Part 4 of introducing on-demand classes starts with a variety of workshops and includes some classic techniques such as Seminole Piecing and Foundation Piecing through to modern day design courses such as Marker Mania and Two Fabric Applique. All our on-demand workshops include access to the teacher for help, suggestions and guidance so you gain the best learning opportunity.
A Great Gift Idea!
Here’s a great gift idea! Create a handbag using the Broderie Perse method. This technique is easy and fun and always makes for a very special gift. My Broderie Perse class is “on –demand” so it is always ready when you are.
