May Stitch Along Instructions for Week 2

stitch-along challenge - bright colorful half inch squaresDid you get your little squares cut up? If not, there is still plenty of time. I made a start but think I will need to add more. I have sorted them into three groups. Blues, reds and yellow/orange. I do think I will add some more bright yellow squares because these mainly look orange!

May Stitch Along Instructions for Week 1

This month our theme is going to be to use scraps - lots of scraps so I hope you have some.... if not, then charm squares will do. Focus on bright colors, but you'll need some softer colors and darker ones as well but the main should be brights. Select reds, oranges, yellows, blues, and purples... throw in a few teal colors as well if you like. Remember just use your scraps!

My April Stitch Along Week 5 part 2

Time to continue on from yesterday's post! For my second design, I switched around how I did the stitching. Still starting with the circles, I free-motion stitched around the raw edge to keep them in place, but left them at that, deciding to add any couching after the quilting was completed.
