I'm so pleased to see this workshop by Elizabeth as so many students ask me about color... Color combinations, color and contrast, value, intensity, and temperature. Now I can direct them to this in-depth class so they can learn it inside out with the help of veteran teacher/designer Elizabeth Barton. She doesn't leave any stone unturned!

Fireworks in Spring or Winter?

I named my new quilt Fireworks in Spring, but it all depends on the colors you use as to what season it should be named. As I was writing the pattern, I created a different setting using different colors so that quilt became Fireworks in Winter.

Portraits or Pets?

How exciting to see some of the students that have taken "Pets with Personality" class with Marilyn Lee using the technique taught in the class to create amazing portrait quilts! One student McCrae created this beautiful portrait of her granddaughter. Look at the wonderful array of colors she has used in this exceptional piece.
