Advanced Layered Applique

There are many applique techniques around and in a sense, they can all be considered "layered" as small pieces are piled on top of each other, but there are very few that include full layers of fabric such as in the technique I have developed and taught over the years.

Stained Glass Applique

Stained Glass applique is a really fun way to applique and can be really fast using store-bought bias. I've made a number of quilts using this method - one of my favorite being Scarlet Rose.

A New Year - 2021

I realized a couple of weeks ago that 2021 means I have been teaching online for 20 years. Over this time I have written numerous lessons and tutorials plus 26 workshops for all sorts of techniques. Over the next few weeks, my plan is to review some of these workshops. Today I'm going to start with the very first one I wrote and the very last one. This will give you an idea of how the workshops have transformed over the years.
