Free Online Quilting Class
A lot of quilters ask "how do you take an online quilting class?". Everyone seems very interested and eager to try so I decided to make it easy for quilters and sewers to learn by writing a short class for newcomers to experience the concept of online quilt learning. Instead of just a question and answer page, I wanted a hands on experience and so the book cover with applique flowers was born. It is a wonderful creative idea for a gift with your personal touch.
These book covers are really fun to make. I have made several for friends and family as Christmas and birthday gifts. When I want to give something more, I add a small pocket on the inside cover that will hold a gift card.
This project is great to get started in online quilting and from time to time, I will be adding more applique designs for you to try. The only difference with this class is that it is ongoing so you can access it any time after you register, unlike my regular classes which have fixed start and finish dates.
I encourage quilters to gather within the classroom and share their thoughts and ideas as well as photos of their projects. This is a fun, quick and easy project to complete and it is all free as well.

I hope you will join me. Happy Quilting!
PS: I love carrying mine around in my purse so I have it where ever I go. I often write notes to remember, sketch ideas for quilts or even pre-write a blog posts.... and when the book is full, you can replace it with another and still keep the cover.
