The “Night Owl” is the second in a series of bird wall hangings by Anita Eaton.
Do you know of a different flower I haven't made? Click through to my 2nd Flower block Competition and let me know a flower you cannot find on our BOW pages and if I decide to add it to my collection, you'll receive a FREE copy of the pattern.
This year my goal is to do more quilting... a lot more quilting. As always, I have lots of quilt ideas floating around in my head, most of them involve applique... and I know I need to get them out. I've already made a start by creating my new Morning Glory block. Originally designed for my BOM Spring Life program, I rearranged it to create a whole new design and of course, I now have this available on my website: Morning Glory design.
Quick easy quilts make beautiful gifts. I revamped this quilt pattern after Sue sent me a photo of her newly quilted Stepping Stones quilt. This one she calls "Kitty Love".
I am so excited to be able to publish my Block of the Month program and it is perfect for Spring! If you love butterflies, then you'll love this quilt too. I made this quilt for my granddaughter Amy as she just loves butterflies which is the theme for her bedroom.
It's taken me a little time to write this blog post because I am still in shock-horror of what has happened to me. The purpose of this post is to make my fellow quilters, teachers, and colleagues aware of what is going on. When nothing is said, nothing changes so my hope is that you will spread the word so this sort of behavior doesn't continue.
Isn't if funny how when you are out shopping you find something you never went out to intentionally buy, but the thought of it just sparks a brilliant idea? In fact, the thought gave me a great idea to create some very personal unique gifts to give away. I was actually in the art section of a store looking for sticker albums for the kids (gosh I didn't know these were so hard to find!) when I spotted some inexpensive ready framed canvases. Okay, so I'm not a painter, but I thought why not use them to mount some of my flower blocks!
These grab-a-bags are a little different to what you normally see as usually you don't know what's inside - mostly mystery items. There are four patterns inside and the bag is only $8.00 so that's $2.00 per pattern, but for our grab-a-bags you get at least one pattern you want. There are several to choose from. Select your favorite pattern and receive 3 more!
In between other things, I've been working on the next two animal blocks designed by Hamish. If you missed the previous story, be sure to check it out on my post: Meet Hamish.
