Autumn Daisy quilt pattern

Today I have been looking at my quilt pattern Autumn Daisy. I first made this in 2003 and it was later published by Arbee Designs in 2005. It has been a very popular pattern to sew and makes a delightful table setting.

The pattern includes instructions for a table runner, wall hanging and placemats. It is made in fall colors, but could easily be made in other seasonal colors too. The background is made up of 2" finished squares in a color wash setting.

I use fusible web for my applique daisies and blanket stitch to stitch around each section. For the stems I make a bias binding so they curve nicely (full instructions are included for both blanket stitch and bias binding in pattern).

I finish the quilt off with simple contour quilting and add a mitered binding (Instructions are also included for these).

As I looked at this today, I decided that we needed a charm pack to help quilters gather enough different fabrics. Each charm pack is made up of 52 squares which is enough to make the wall hanging which saves you quite a bit of cutting time too.
