I've been making tutorials again. It can be a lot of fun, but sometimes it is also takes a lot of effort especially when one makes booboos. I made a new welcome tutorial for the Academy of Quilting to help students register for our website in order for them to take classes. Many do not like the thought of registering, but it is easy enough and it helps protect both student and teachers from being spammed. No one likes that.
Great News - Jennifer's beginner patchwork class is available to start now.
Today I was playing around making buttons. Not the regular buttons that you sew on clothing or quilts, but buttons to use as links to click on. It was rather fun and I got on a bit of a roll.
Classes for June are extra exciting because every student attending any of the following classes get to stay enrolled and can come back again and again. That means, if you don't get finished this month, you can come back in the next session and continue on. You can stay as long as you like.
At the beginning of this year I introduced everyone to Zoo Friends - one of the cutest baby quilt classes ever which is designed and taught by Jennifer Houlden. It is a patchwork and simple animal applique.
At the Academy of Quilting we have been working on a new calendar and a slightly different way of presenting our classes. Now you don't have to wait any longer to register for a class and have a choice of dates to select from.
Over the weekend, I updated the Academy of Quilting website (www.academyofquilting.com). It needed doing badly and really it is easy with the content management system I have installed. It's no harder than writing a blog post to be honest. About here, I really should tell you what the Academy of Quilting is. It's an online facility where you can learn to quilt based on patterns published at Arbee Designs. You could call it our sister website.
