Stitch Along June week 3 rules

I hope you are ready for this week's rules. What broken shape did you use? If you missed the last two, check them out. I hope you will join me! Week One rules and Week Two rules.

June Week 3 Rules

This week will be all about stitching. We are going to use two separate words: "Echo" and "Sparkle". You can include both this week or leave one for next week to be included in the finishing, the choice is yours.

Stitch any applique shape in place if you haven't already and incorporate the word or words in any way you like. The obvious choices for "echo" are to either echo the shape you used or echo quilt around the shape, maybe you can think up a different way to use "echo". "Sparkle" could be a lot of things such as sparkly (metallic) thread or fabric, glitter or a sparkling embellishment, even an applique star could be your interpretation of "sparkle"

I thought I would include this art quilt I made years ago for a teacher's exhibit at one of New Zealand's national symposiums where I was teaching. It shows you several ways of interpreting both words above...
