Do the weeks go fast or is it just me? I think they fly by as it always seems like I just finished my last week's challenge and another week is upon us. Definitely goes too fast. I'm sure I missed a day or two somewhere! If you missed the rules for the first two weeks, you can find them here: Week 1 rules and Week 2 rules
This week for stitch along we are sharing templates so I decided to draw up a couple, instead of just one (here is a link to the official rules). I use a program called Art Explosion which is a vector-based program that draws very well and especially great for templates like what I'm drawing today. I also like using Inkscape which is a free vector-based program.
Are you ready for week 2 of July Stitch Along? Week one was easy enough, just collect some Christmas items. For the full instructions check back here: July week 1 rules.
Are you joining me for my July Christmas stitch along fun? I hope so. This challenge will be a fun way to use some of your Christmas fabric, or whatever fabric you have on hand, to created something for Christmas or even a stocking stuffer. If you missed week 1 rules, check them out here: July Week 1 rules.
Are you ready for some July fun? You know, I hate to say this, but it is less than 6 months until Christmas. My daughter told me yesterday, she has started her gift buying with two gifts for my granddaughter already. Smart move seeing as she has three birthdays to buy for in December as well! Anyway, seeing as I was thinking of Christmas, I figured we should do a Christmas project.
Ok, so I got a little bit behind here. I seem to have been extra busy - doing what? Who knows! Well I do but that's another story. You might see some additions to this website and get an idea.
There are five Sunday's in June so that means we have an extra week for our stitch along challenge. Let's have some fun! If you still want to join in, you can. Here are the rules for each week: Week 1 rules; Week 2 rules; Week 3 rules; Week 4 rules
When I wrote up the rules for week 4, I had no idea what I would include on my stitch along project. It was much more difficult than I thought, even though it was only to add an embellishment. Of course, now that I have done it, I can think of a number of different things I could have done!
Have you visited the June Gallery recently? It's been updated again so be sure you don't miss what's going on. The projects are wonderful. June Gallery
I love when we get to the quilting side of things and this week is no exception. I knew I had to come up with some sort of straight quilting seeing as I used strips in my first week, even though straight quilting is not my favorite! I much prefer free-motion. You can find the full rules for week 3 here.
