March Stitch Along - week 4 instructions

barbara's pieced block

Here we are at week four already! Do check out the gallery because Barbara has also joined in the fun. Here is a photo of her blocks ready to piece together.

So if you missed the earlier instructions, you can find them here:

Week Four

This week you should layer your block and add any embellishments. You can add anything you like, applique, quilting, threads, yarns, buttons, beads, whatever you wish, the only rule here is to stick to the colors you have used and do not introduce any new colors. Tip: this might be a good time to add in a little more of your contrast color.

Once you have finished with the embellishments and quilting, finish off your block in any way you like. Simply bind it or make it into a cushion, oven cloth or even into a tote. It would look great as a pocket on a tote especially if you use your contrast colors to construct the tote.

Remember to send in a photo of your finished challenge, even if you haven't sent in earlier photos, you can now, so join in the fun.

  • Barbara are you clicking on the link "the gallery" (blue text) in the first paragraph of this blog post? I am not having any problem with this link so perhaps it is somewhere else?

  • I can't seem to access the gallery from the blog page. It just says not available.
